Mayerthorpe’s Inspire Dance Company concluded its season on Sunday with a solo showcase and recital, with audiences filling the Mayerthorpe Diamond Centre.
Nicole Polack, Inspire Dance Company owner, told the Mayerthorpe Freelancer 55 students were featured and performed ballet, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, tap and other routines.
“Inspire Dance had a very successful festival season competing in St. Albert, Morinville and Camrose this spring, taking home multiple awards and scholarships,” Polack said.
Polack also noted the next season will mark Inspire Dance’s 10th, and that there are “many exciting things” planned to commemorate this milestone.
These will include new classes in acro, adult classes, and a performance of The Nutcracker in December, she said.
Auditions for The Nutcracker will be open to dancer in Mayerthorpe and area, she said.
