“Downtown Fort Saskatchewan has so many great options for eating, exploring, shopping or just relaxing,” said Erin Brush Duncan, Acting Director of Economic Development for the City of Fort Saskatchewan. “We wanted to bring everything together in one place to help people discover all our beautiful downtown has to offer.”
The City says that residents and visitors alike can use this easy, one stop website to discover everything the historic heard of Fort Saskatchewan has to offer.
“We are very excited to provide this information and to encourage our residents to Rediscover Downtown,” said Brush Duncan. “The experience downtown is very different from other areas; there are independent boutiques, service providers, restaurants, events, and public programming. Park, walk and explore. It’s all within a few blocks and each trip can be very different. If you need a break, check out the new pocket park, pergola area or the river valley trails and enjoy the friendly atmosphere Fort Saskatchewan is known for.”
Easy to navigate sections on places to eat, places to shop, things to do and downtown events will allow users to plan their visit with ease. The site also has an interactive dialogue section on ideas for downtown, or those looking to learn about leasing opportunities.
The history of downtown Fort Saskatchewan is displayed in a photo gallery and users can easily navigate to the Fort Heritage Precinct website from the main page. To contact Economic Development with ideas or questions, call 780-997-6674 or email ecdev@fortsask.ca.
