For the fourth year in a row, the RavenWood Music Festival is set to return to Broadmoor Lake Park with a new multiple day format on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24.
The Ravenwood Music Festival is back for its fourth year in a row and organizers said it is back to a multiple-day experience.
“Everything is ramping right up and we’re excited to be back to two days,” explained Bill Roberts, president of the Music Society of Strathcona County. “In 2019, we did two days, but we could only do virtual in 2020 and 2021. Last year, we were able to go back to in-person, but it was only one day. This year it is two days, which is what we originally planned for the festival.”
The two days will offer entertainment by both local artists and musicians from across the country.

“We’re excited and looking forward to a great line-up this year,” Roberts said. “We’ve partnered again with Crescendo Music Studio in the Park because it is important with our festival to promote youth and music, so the student bands will open each day.”
Friday night’s headliner will be The Long Run, a band which is known as Canada’s best Eagles cover band.
“We’ve also got a cover band called the Rated R band, which plays a lot of 80s and 90s music. They’ll be opening for Juno-award winner Sass Jordan on Saturday,” he said. “One of our goals for the festival is to up the calibre of headliner, and we have two great headliners over the weekend this year and it is really exciting.”
The event, which is run locally by a non-profit, is also still looking volunteers to help out and sponsorships. A volunteer orientation night is scheduled for Monday, June 19.

“We’re always looking for volunteers and our organization is an incorporated non-profit and we’re 100 per cent volunteer driven and have no paid staff,” Roberts said. “That means we always need volunteers and we’re always looking for applications.”

Tickets are already on sale and weekend passes are $95 or you can purchase a single-day admission for $45 for Friday or $65 for Saturday.
“We had a one-day event last year and with all the ticket patrons and volunteers on site, we had about 1,000 people to the event last year,” Roberts said. “This year we’re hoping we can grow that number, but we’re still a fairly new festival and still growing every year.”
